You do need to leave a little room in the front of the mouth to get the mouth to fully close. To achieve this I glue in the mouth plate about 1/4-3/8 below the edge of the mouth cut in the head. That's all it takes.

Thanks for your kind comments about my puppets.Bashful Puppethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14103980386666925522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8426049132271171542.post-5786980276185934832010-09-06T18:10:00.066-04:002010-09-06T18:10:00.066-04:00You sure make it easy to admire the art of puppetr...You sure make it easy to admire the art of puppetry with a serie of puppets that appear so well constructed. Nicely done, you've obviously got alot of enthusiasm and talent for the craft. I just created a hobby site that has a puppetry element and if I can produce on half the level your at one day, i'll consider my venture a victory. Keep up the great work.

http://www.themonstons.com/

Oh, and I particularly like the mouth, where the tongue has some dimension to it. Does that dimension hinder the closing of the mouth at all? I'm guessing its not that noticable.Nosimad Monstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05698810681211261754noreply@blogger.com
