Our Mission

Welcome to my blog where I chronicle my efforts in designing and building puppets and their worlds. My hope is that I will contribute to the art of puppetry as I use it to lift up the name of Jesus.

Sorry I've been away so long...

I just wanted to post to let people know that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. My absence here in the blog is part of some changes that have come into my life in the past months. My responsibilities at home and at work have multiplied taking over much of the time I have for puppets. I also have some quasi-puppet interests that are taking up sometime in preping for puppet projects.

That being said I am still interested in puppets and I am pretty prompt in answering emails and the like. I still plan to post any projects when I am able to get to them.

Until then...

You sure make it easy to admire the art of puppetry with a serie of puppets that appear so well constructed. Nicely done, you've obviously got alot of enthusiasm and talent for the craft. I just created a hobby site that has a puppetry element and if I can produce on half the level your at one day, i'll consider my venture a victory. Keep up the great work.

Oh, and I particularly like the mouth, where the tongue has some dimension to it. Does that dimension hinder the closing of the mouth at all? I'm guessing its not that noticable.

I like having more dimension with the tongues itmakes them look more real to me. You do need to leave a little room in the front of the mouth to get the mouth to fully close. To achieve this I glue in the mouth plate about 1/4-3/8 below the edge of the mouth cut in the head. That's all it takes.

Thanks for your kind comments about my puppets.
